DJI Phantom 3 Pro Review and Specification

DJI Phantom 3 Pro Review and Specification. The flying machine which needs a ground-based controller and a system of communications between the two not only looks cool but also provides a great work for aerial photography. Though it has some other applications too, such as policing, peace-keeping, product deliveries, drone racing etc, so evidently drones are in demand these days. As we all know, the huge demand gives birth to the rise of huge production of the products, and several brands come in the picture. Therefore, a lot of products are available out there to serve the different purposes, and the Phantom series of drones has become somewhat of an industry standard and they provide what many would consider the best bang for the buck when it comes to drone quality. First in the PHANTOM family is the DJI Phantom Standard at the start, then comes the Phantom 3 Advanced as well as the Phantom 3 4k, Phantom 3 Professional and so on. But today, we will be reviewing DJI PHANTOM 3 Professional only, so let’s talk about the basic specs of this copter.

DJI Phantom 3 Pro Features and Design:

The DJI Phantom 3 Pro has few advantages, its ability to shoot video in Ultra HD 4K resolution. It brings a tonne of detail when viewing the footage on a high-resolution monitor, which is particularly visible when looking at small details on house roofs far below. The benefit of the 4K footage isn’t just to look crisp on a 4K monitor, it also provides you a lot of room to crop into the frame, while still maintaining full HD quality or better. If your shots require a faster motion from the camera and the subject, then shooting at 60fps in Full HD will produce much smoother footage.
With the wheels on each corner of the controller you can tilt the camera up or down, and to pan simply turn the drone on its axis. You can point it exactly down, which gives a really neat view of the landscape, particularly when you take it really high.
The camera is mounted on the same 3-axis stabilizing gimbal, which automatically corrects for any slight movements of the drone, and smoothing out vibrations from the rotors.

DJI Phantom 3 Pro Lens:

The lens on the camera has a 90-degree field of view, which is narrower than the previous version. That may seem a drawback but it’s actually for a very good reason. The extreme wide angles cause distortion of the image, particularly at the corners, which means you need to do a lot of digital correction if the footage is for a professional purpose. It’s particularly noticeable when panning around a horizon, as you can visibly see the horizon curving down at the edge. The narrower angle makes a huge difference, with considerably less distortion of the image, as well as producing better footage that doesn’t need excessive digital correction.

DJI Go App:

There are some really useful features in the DJI GO app once you learn to fly the drone. 720p YouTube live streaming is an incredible tool for anyone covering live events, although remember the local laws if you’re filming anywhere with people around. Also, it helps to edit your photos and videos from within the app immediately, so you don’t have to wait to go home and edit them.

DJI Phantom 3 Pro Battery life:

Flight time for the Phantom 3 Professional can last up to 20 minutes. The smart feature lets the user know of the time left for the camera drone until it needs to be recharged. Charging is similar to charging any smart device. Simply plug the battery into the outlet using the power cord that came with it. We found this in our DJI Phantom 3 Pro Review and Specification test.

DJI Phantom 3 Pro Price Range:

The Price of DJI Phantom 3 Pro is $800.
